As sodium hydroxide is a base it is going to react with NH4Cl (acid): NH4’+ +OH- it’s going to product H2O+NH3. Now that we know the value of our concentrations we plug it into our Henderson-Hasselbach equation to see what’s going on with our buffer system: pH=9.25+Log 0.25M/0.19M= 9.37. To end with this, we compare the pH of our buffer solution just started that was 9.33 and now that we added a strong base it went up just a little bit to 9.37; this shows mathematically how a buffer solution resists drastic changes on the pH.
