To sum up, we can say that a buffer solution is a mixture of a weak acid or base with its conjugate pair; that buffers have something called “buffer capacity” that tells us how much acid or base you can add before your pH changes; we can use the Henderson-Hasselbach equation to calculate our buffer’s pH, and that we can have a buffer for a specific pH or by accident.
