Hello everyone!
Fate/ Zero is a Japanese light novel written by Gen Urobuchi, illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi. This story functions as a prequel to all routes in Type-Moon's visual novel, Fate/stay night. This story takes place ten years before Fate/ Stay Night in the Fourth Holy Grail War. This time, our protagonist it's going to be Kiritsugu Emiya, (that confusing character that we heard sometimes in Fate/ Stay Night) the foster father of Shirō Emiya (Fate/stay night's protagonist). In contrast of what we could think from Fate/ Stay Night about him Kiritsugu is known as a merciless mage killer who joins the tournament on behalf of his wife's family, the Einzbern family.
The Einzbern family is determined to achieve success after three consecutive failures, no matter the cost and as a result, they have brought the hated magus killer, Kiritsugu Emiya, despite his methods and reputation as a skilled mercenary who employs whatever he can use to accomplish his goals; and, he accepts to work with them so he can wish for the sake of humanity.
This light novel was published in December 2006 and has four volumes.
Hope you are enjoying this! Sheryl.
