Hello everyone!

Continuing with the last topic, there are some visual novels of Fate.
The first one, Fate / stay night could be called as the canonic one because from this came all the other stuff. This visual novel was developed by Type-Moon, this game was thought for adults, and it's genres are romance, urban fantasy and action mostly. Its was first released in January 17 in 2004.
The main things about the "Holy Grail Wars" is that in this war participate seven sorcerers, known as Masters, that are aided by seven beings known as Servants, reincarnations of legendary heroes from all times. These resurrected souls possess superhuman characteristics and wield powerful artifacts or abilities called Noble Phantasms, symbols of their heroism during life. Only one Servant can be summoned in each war from one of seven classes: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Berserker, Rider, Assassin, and Caster, each representing their distinctive role in battle. The Servants are summoned by the power of the Grail itself and aid their Masters in doing battle, protecting them from harm and killing other Servants or Masters.

This story, as we said before, it's about a young magus called Emiya Shirou, there are three routes in the novel, every single one has a bit of it's own philosophy, the first one called "Fate" it's about "oneself as an ideal", then the second one "Unlimited Blade Works" talks about "struggling with oneself as an ideal" and the last route is "Heaven's Feel" that is about "the friction with real and ideal" that could be thought more like the friction between both; as you can imagine from the titles, Shirou is going to have some troubles keeping his ideals of becoming a hero of justice and saving the world, because of this as you go by the stories, the topics become a bit heavy, but that makes even more interesting the game.
The other one is Fate / Hollow Ataraxia that is a sequel of Stay Night that it's suppose it's starts six months after the facts of Stay Night. This was released in 2005 by Type-Moon, takes place in a dream world that reflects multiple timelines at once. So it can be confusing but it's better just to enjoy it and not to think too much about it.
