Getting the wrong end of the stick

Hi! I'm going to tell you a funny story now.

This day started as usually but I was stressed at first because I had a lot of homework, fortunately, I get early to my home and finished my homework before 1 p.m. (yeah, I'm a nerd) and I went to eat sushi with my mom and one of her friends; the food was delicious and we were really happy because it would be a 2x1 discount; when we ask for the bill, it said that it was 2 separate sushis, one discount and one extra thing that my mom's friend asked, we supposed that it was because they can't have 2 discounts in the same bill so we paid and went to the house; in the way home my mom said that we hadn't paid for the water so we had to turn back so we can pay the water; when we get there my mom told the waiter what happened and he explained to us that we HAD paid everything, the two sushis that were there, was actually four but they wrote only two because of the 2x1 discount, the other thing that we thought was the 2x1 discount was actually thed 2 liters water, and the extra thing, so we actually paid everything and we had to went back to the house and watch Wall-E (I LOVE THAT MOVIE)
